Bound by hand
Every besom bound in the workshop.
Home / About Us

What pleases us most are the gardeners and homes that come back for the next besom, and the brooms used and kept year to year. That is the sign that craft and care are worth something.
We work by hand. Cutting and seasoning the birch, binding the head, fitting the hazel handle, step by step, with care. It is honest, rhythmic work, and that is where the difference from a mass-made broom lies.
We make each besom to suit. The size, the birch and the handle all matter. We advise and make what suits the job, honestly and without fuss.
Every besom bound in the workshop.
Bound tight to sweep well.
Coppiced wood, chosen to last.
Tired besoms re-bound and kept in use.
